Main objective of the operation
The project intends to develop new integrated systems, based on the use of shape memory metal alloys, capable of continuously and actively implementing surface morphing which affects the aerodynamics of vehicles. The aim is to verify the possibility of obtaining benefits in terms of performance and consumption from the use of intelligent materials (SMA) to create active composites, capable of changing their shape when subjected to specific inputs in response to different operating conditions.

Operational Knowledge from Insights and Analytics on Industrial Data

Main objective of the operation
The Project proposes scientific, technological and application innovation thanks to the introduction of Big Data Analytics in the industrial context, helping to redesign production processes and business models, to obtain a step change in the creation of digital services for the industry. The Project will adopt and advance state-of-the-art technologies, defining new data driven approaches. OK-INSAID also proposes a new approach to analytics, based on the coordination, collaboration and synchronization of existing cloud and edge analytics, thanks to a reference architecture and its implementation, aimed at developing new hybrid analytics “cloud-edge” for Industry 4.0. Specifically, the innovations introduced by the project are:
•New models and methods for the acquisition and integration of industrial data from numerous heterogeneous sources, to create enterprise-level industrial data space;
•New data science algorithms and methods for generating value and operational knowledge from big data from the aforementioned sources.

Main objective of the operation
The project's objective is the study and development of innovative technologies and advanced materials to be used in the shipbuilding supply chain, such that they can respond to the needs of the companies involved in the project and to the challenges posed by Community, national and regional programs in terms of maritime transport smart, green and integrated. The activities of the Consortium were mainly aimed at the development of processes of junctions between dissimilar materials using power lasers. On the one hand, the creation of welds between aluminum alloys and steel through the use of materials or transition joints; on the other, the development of texturing processes on metal surfaces to improve aluminum-composite bonding performance.

INSPIRATION
Processes and materials for laser additive manufacturing
integrated and sustainable

Main objective of the operation
The project proposes to develop an innovative prototype of equipment for Additive Manufacturing that is flexible and sustainable, both from an environmental and an economic point of view. The prototype will make use of the flexibility of the laser tool for sintering the materials. Suitable materials, metallic and ceramic in the form of powders, will be developed with the aid of mixing/alloying and plasma atomization technologies in order to optimize materials and processes for specific applications in the biomedical and aeronautical/aerospace sectors
